I loved your top 5 tips. I wish I'd had those to hand when I first moved to the US. I think I did those things, in time, slowly, but it would have been excellent advice from the get-go.
Wonderful interview. You are a wealth of knowledge. The top 5 tips are great and I will try to incorporate them into my life. Being an expat is a wild adventure and it is wonderful to hear the wisdom of those who have navigated it before me. I have added a few new places to explore to my list (Big Ben clock tower tour!) and it gives me things to look forward to. I can't wait to see the beautiful gardens once spring comes. Thank you for sharing.
Dear Laura - as usual you came up trumps with your interview. Your enthusiasm is infectious, and I am sure the things you have said will give great encouragement to others trying to make their way in another country. You are right you have to put yourself out there to meet people, which is sometimes difficult at first, but well worth making the effort.
If I ever had the chance to live in another country, I'd jump on that chance. I'd love to live somewhere foreign. If I could, I'd love to live in either Japan, London, Australia or in the U.S., New York or Florida
Thanks for sharing this interview, Laura; I loved reading about you! I'm so impressed that you used to make children's clothes -- that takes talent. I share your interest in history, and I think it's wonderful that you're seeing and learning as much as you can while you're there.
Awww, Laura that's a really great interview! I love your blog and I'm sorry I haven't been commenting much as I'm still adjusting to being a mummy of two now! But wanted to pop in to say I really enjoy your blog and all the pretty pictures and read all of your posts(they come directly to my email inbox!)
I loved your interview! That was fabulous and I share so many of the same thoughts. Email me when you get ready to repatriate...that's a whole 'nother kind of adventure : )

Great interview Laura. As I used to live in the UK (now in New Zealand) I have really loved reading you blog, especially when I'm missing England! xo
Great interview, it was nice to read a bit more about you.

Way to go Laura! It's fun to get to know the authors of the blogs that I follow!

Nicely done and very diplomatic too. It can be difficult to describe what its like to live in a foreign country, but you've done it beautifully.
